PRESS RELEASE: Pharkarcarharssen to be promoted at Glatonbury Festival 2005

The word Pharkarcarharssen will be promoted at the Glastonbury Festival 2005. The aim is to get the made-up word into the Oxford English Dictionary. A team, headed by Chris Pendse, will be onsite all weekend handing out flyers about the word and the non-for-profit website (www.daytimedrinking.co.uk).

Chris and his team also plan to interview a number of performers at the festival in a bid to attain celebrity endorsement. Although unsure if they will gain official access, a spokesman has said they are confident of gaining entry to backstage areas by using 'the power of the blag' and 'being nice'.

Pharkarcarharssen is a made-up word describing 'the feeling one gets when leaving a pub intoxicated during the day'. The website www.daytimedrinking.co.uk is a not-for-profit website used to promote the word Pharkarcarharssen with the aim of getting the word into the Oxford English Dictionary.

A newly branded website to promote the use of the word 'Pharkarcarharssen' was launched today. The re-branding has been timed to coincide with a major promotion of the word at Glastonbury Festival 2005.
